Pennington impressed in a Week 12 loss to the Patriots, but couldn't find his rhythm on Sunday against a feisty Rams defense. Miami plays Buffalo in Toronto in Week 14, and Pennington will probably remain a low-end No. 2 at best for that matchup.

QB Chad Pennington may have thrown a costly interception in the fourth quarter, but Sunday's loss fell on Miami's defense. Pennington threw for a career-high 341 yards, including three TD passes, and he ran for a 7-yard score. He continues to show critics that he can still throw a deep ball, as he hit Ted Ginn Jr. in stride for a 46-yard bomb on the first play from scrimmage of the second half. 11/25/2008

This effort seems like something of an aberration, as the Patriots have a patchwork secondary and were making sure not to get burned again by Miami's running game. Pennington also lost perhaps his favorite target as Greg Camarillo went down for the year with an injury. Still, Pennington is playable at lowly St. Louis on Sunday.
